Article 1 (Application)

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") set forth the conditions for using Ronwrite (the "Service") provided by Ronride Co., Ltd. (the "Company"). The Service is an educational web service for learning logical thinking and related skills through academic writing. Registered users (the "Users") shall use the Service in accordance with these Terms.

Article 2 (Registration)

1. Those who wish to use the Service must agree to these Terms and apply for registration by the method prescribed by us. Registration is completed when we approve such application.
2. We may refuse to approve registration if we determine that the applicant falls under any of the following:
   • When false information is provided in the registration application
   • When the applicant has violated these Terms in the past
   • When we otherwise determine that registration is inappropriate

Article 3 (User ID and Password Management)

1. Users shall manage their user ID and password for the Service at their own responsibility.
2. We shall not be liable for any damage caused by the use of user ID or password by a third party, except in cases where we have acted with intent or gross negligence.

Article 4 (Usage Fees and Payment Methods)

1. Basic use of the Service is free of charge in principle. However, we may offer paid plans, paid courses (one-time purchase), and other paid features.
2. Paid plans shall be subscribed through recurring billing (e.g., monthly) or one-time payment as prescribed by us. Paid courses (one-time purchase) shall be purchased per course as prescribed by us, and access rights shall be valid within the period separately prescribed by us.
3. Fees shall be paid through payment methods specified by us (e.g., credit card). Details shall be displayed on the purchase screen or equivalent.
4. Fees are based on prices set by us and may change without notice. Already purchased paid courses (one-time purchase) shall not be affected by price changes.
5. Purchase of a paid plan or paid course is finalized when payment is completed. After finalization, we will not refund fees except as provided in these Terms.
6. Through campaigns, invitations, or benefits (including free use for educators under Article 19), we may waive fees or grant access to all features of the Service at no charge. Conditions and periods shall be as stated in the relevant notice.

Article 5 (Prohibited Acts)

Users shall not engage in the following acts when using the Service:

1. Acts that violate laws or public order and morals
2. Acts related to criminal activities
3. Acts that infringe intellectual property rights such as copyrights and trademarks contained in the Service
4. Acts that destroy or interfere with the functions of servers or networks of the Service, other users, or other third parties
5. Acts that commercially use information obtained through the Service
6. Acts that may interfere with the operation of the Service
7. Acts of unauthorized access or attempts thereof
8. Acts of collecting or accumulating personal information of other users
9. Acts of using the Service for improper purposes
10. Acts that cause disadvantage, damage, or discomfort to other users of the Service or other third parties
11. Acts of providing the Service's content, courses, learning data, etc. to third parties, or allowing third parties to progress through courses on behalf of the user
12. Acts of downloading the Service's content, courses, questions, etc.
13. Acts of disclosing or publishing the Service's content, courses, questions, etc. on the Internet (including SNS, blogs, websites, etc.)
14. Acts of saving the Service's content, courses, questions, etc. by taking screenshots or other methods and storing them on one's own media (devices, cloud storage, etc.)
15. Acts of using AI (artificial intelligence), machines, automation tools, etc. to generate answers or progress through courses
16. Acts of hacking, tampering with, or improperly manipulating the system, or developing or providing methods to do so
17. Other acts that we deem inappropriate

Article 6 (Suspension of Service Provision)

1. We may suspend or interrupt all or part of the Service without prior notice to users if we determine that any of the following applies:
   • When performing maintenance, inspection, or updates of the computer system related to the Service
   • When provision of the Service becomes difficult due to force majeure such as earthquakes, lightning, fires, power outages, or natural disasters
   • When computers or communication lines stop due to accidents
   • When we otherwise determine that provision of the Service is difficult
2. We shall not be liable for any disadvantage or damage incurred by users or third parties due to suspension or interruption of the Service.

Article 7 (Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability)

1. We do not guarantee, either explicitly or implicitly, that the Service is free from factual or legal defects (including defects, errors, bugs, and infringement of rights related to safety, reliability, accuracy, completeness, validity, fitness for a specific purpose, security, etc.).
2. We shall not be liable for any damage incurred by users due to the Service. However, this disclaimer does not apply if the contract between us and users regarding the Service (including these Terms) constitutes a consumer contract under the Consumer Contract Act.
3. Even in the case of the preceding proviso, we shall not be liable for any damage incurred by users due to our default (excluding gross negligence) or tort, including damage arising from special circumstances (including cases where we or users could foresee or could have foreseen the occurrence of damage). In addition, compensation for damage incurred by users due to our default (excluding gross negligence) or tort shall be limited to the amount of usage fees received in the month in which such damage occurred.
4. We shall not be liable for any transactions, communications, or disputes that arise between users and other users or third parties regarding the Service.

Article 8 (Changes to Service Content)

We may change the content of the Service or discontinue provision of the Service without notice to users, and we shall not be liable for any damage incurred by users as a result.

Article 9 (Changes to Terms)

1. We may change these Terms without individual consent from users in the following cases:
   • When the change to these Terms is in the general interest of users
   • When the change to these Terms does not violate the purpose of the Service usage contract and is reasonable in light of the necessity of the change, the appropriateness of the content after the change, and other circumstances related to the change
2. When changing these Terms pursuant to the preceding paragraph, we will notify users in advance of the fact that these Terms will be changed, the content of the changed Terms, and the effective date.

Article 10 (Handling of Personal Information)

We shall handle personal information obtained through use of the Service appropriately in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Article 11 (Notices or Communications)

Notices or communications between users and us shall be made by the method prescribed by us. Unless users submit a change notification by the method separately prescribed by us, we shall consider the currently registered contact information as valid and send notices or communications to such contact information, and these shall be deemed to have reached users at the time of transmission.

Article 12 (Prohibition of Assignment of Rights and Obligations)

Users may not assign or provide as collateral their status under the usage contract or rights or obligations under these Terms to a third party without our prior written consent.

Article 13 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)

1. These Terms shall be governed by Japanese law.
2. Any disputes regarding the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the court having jurisdiction over our head office.

Article 14 (Special Provisions for Educational Application)

1. This Service is an educational application aimed at improving logical thinking skills.
2. We do not guarantee that learning effects or results will be achieved through use of the Service. Learning effects vary by individual.
3. Learning data and usage data (usage logs) may be used for service improvement, statistical analysis, effectiveness measurement, and similar purposes. Please refer to the Privacy Policy for details.
4. When using organization features, organization administrators may be able to view learning data.

Article 15 (Account Suspension and Refunds)

1. We may suspend or delete a user's account without prior notice if the user falls under any of the following:
   • When an account is created using false information
   • When multiple accounts are created fraudulently
   • When an account is created using another person's information without authorization
   • When acts that infringe copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights are committed
   • When acts that violate these Terms are committed
   • When other acts that we deem inappropriate are committed
2. We shall not be liable for any damage incurred by users due to account suspension or deletion pursuant to the preceding paragraph.
3. When account suspension or deletion is carried out pursuant to the preceding paragraph, we will not refund any usage fees or other expenses paid by the user to us. However, this does not apply if refunds are required by law.
4. We are not obligated to explain the reason for account suspension or deletion to users.

Article 16 (Course Purchase and Changes to Course Content)

1. By purchasing a course, users acquire access rights to educational content included in such course, not fixed educational materials themselves. We may continuously update and improve course content (including but not limited to structure, number of questions, explanations, difficulty level, and expressions) for the purpose of improving educational effectiveness and quality.
2. We may add, change, or delete course content without prior notice. This means that course content displayed at the time of purchase is not guaranteed to be maintained in the future.
3. We may change the method of providing courses or their structure for technical or operational reasons. In such cases, we may make changes without prior notice.
4. Users may not request refunds of purchase fees due to changes to course content, changes to the method of providing courses, or changes to their structure as set forth in the preceding two paragraphs. In addition, we shall not be liable for any damage incurred by users due to these changes.
5. We do not guarantee, either explicitly or implicitly, the accuracy, completeness, fitness for a specific purpose, or educational effectiveness of course content. Users shall purchase courses at their own responsibility, understanding that course content may be changed.

Article 17 (Purpose and Manner of Use)

1. The Service is provided for users to improve their own logical thinking and academic writing skills, including use in classes, research, and self-study.
2. Intended users include individual learners, university faculty, high school teachers, learners under their instruction, and members of educational organizations using organization features.
3. Users shall use the Service for their own learning and shall not use it for academic dishonesty (e.g., ghostwriting or improper sharing of answers for graded work or examinations).
4. AI features in the Service are intended to support thinking and learning. Using AI or automation to generate answers or progress through courses is prohibited under Article 5.
5. When using organization features, organization administrators may view learning data within the scope described in Article 14 and the Privacy Policy.
6. Viewing public pages that do not require registration (e.g., the top page and Ronwrite Advocate page) may not be subject to provisions for registered users. Handling of cookies, etc., follows the Privacy Policy.
7. Other prohibited acts and cautions are as set forth in Article 5 (Prohibited Acts).

Article 18 (Ronwrite Advocates)

1. We may publish information about researchers and public figures who endorse our mission ("Advocates") on the Ronwrite Advocate page on our website.
2. Advocates may register information such as name, title, affiliation, introduction, and website URL via a dedicated link in an email from us. Items published on the Advocate page are as stated in the Privacy Policy. Contact email addresses are generally not published on the Advocate page.
3. Advocates represent at their own responsibility that registered information is accurate and that they have the rights and consents necessary for publication.
4. We may review content before publication and may decline, suspend, or change publication if we deem it inappropriate.
5. To request removal or correction of published information, Advocates may contact us by replying to the email we sent regarding Advocate registration or similar communications. We will respond within a reasonable scope.

Article 19 (Launch Campaign — Free Use for Educators)

1. As a launch campaign, we may offer university faculty and high school teachers ("Educators") free access to all features of the Service through December 31, 2026, via methods prescribed by us.
2. Educator status is confirmed based on self-declaration and registration procedures prescribed by us. If false declaration is found, we may revoke the benefit or suspend the account.
3. The benefit is granted upon completion of account registration via a dedicated link in an email from us or by other methods we specify.
4. This benefit does not constitute a refund of paid plan or course fees. After the campaign period, standard fees may apply.
5. We may change or end the campaign without notice.
